the work

I combine body-centered psychotherapy, emotionally-focused therapy, expressive arts therapy, internal family systems therapy, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), and somatic embodiment. Movement allows you to become an active participant in the healing and to take what is painful, give it form, and release it into the dance.

When technique becomes unconscious, the dancer’s body is free to express it’s true spirit.

about me

My journey through movement arts has led me to uncover how unconscious traumas that have become stuck in the body often perpetuate physical, emotional, or spiritual suffering that can keep us in a cycle of recreating our pain. My approach is supportive, open, and flexible, my experience diverse, I have worked many many different types of bodies, sexual identities, ethnicities, ages, and sizes, I welcome you.

Every single emotion that wants to move through your body is a biological tool for survival.

I believe in the wisdom of the body. It is constantly communicating something to you, and your emotions are the messenger. I want to help you become an expert at your own body language so that you can heal what has happened to you and make room for the truth of your soul as you listen to your body’s deepest desires.

Dance is my emotional language.

I use body-centered modalities such as; expressive arts therapy, movement therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and transpersonal therapy while we are exploring movement. I am attachment based, and trauma focused, using internal family systems therapy to help me understand the history of your family line and how that has impacted your mind and body connection. I also work with conventional talk therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, however my goal is less talking and more moving.
